WHO: Are you talking to a single person, a store owner, a group of like minded people, a purchasing agent? It's important to first identify who your target market is and the person that will represent that market. Preparation for your meeting should be tailored to who that meeting is with.
WHAT: There is nothing worse than meeting with someone and not knowing about your product. Study what we give you and keep on learning from other sources to keep yourself in the know.
WHERE: I don’t take no for an answer lightly but in my world I tell every person I encounter about my business and there will be some people that just are not interested at the moment. Just remember the old adage that 80% of all sales are made by 20% of sales people. The difference between these people is preparation, they NEVER give up and lastly, they realize that there are people that say no to everything and they don’t take it personally. Just move on.
WHEN: On the first day you will be excited to get things rolling. The hard part is waiting until you are ready to go after that big account. Take your time. Practice on friends and family first. Then move up to smaller venues. Get your story, your elevator pitch down and be able to recite it in your sleep.
When you can answer questions with confidence, then it's time to move on to something big. And just a reminder we have an enormous amount of sales background so if you need the help on a big account don’t hesitate to ask for it!

Who – What – When – Where
It's time to dig a little deeper into the who, what, where and when topics. There are many different who’s when searching for your next client and we are going to provide you with some ways to handle different situations.
If you wanted to know WHO might be in charge of a certain person in a company setting you may want to look on Linkedin and search the company and look at bios and find the purchasing agent. There will almost always be an email that you can go directly to that person and skip the gate keeper at the front door.
Spas, chiropractors, massage therapists etc. all have time issues that will be an obstacle. If you happen to know one of these people then you could show them your product data and explain to them that other people in their fields are increasing their revenue by selling CBD. Some are making almost 50% more just by adding CBD. They also know other people in their fields and can either recommend you to them or you ask them to group buy with their colleagues or you can sell to them directly.
If you don’t know them, then stop in and ask when a good time is for you to come back and make your presentation. Do NOT call on the phone or send emails as you will NEVER make a sale that way.
WHAT makes you an expert in this area? KNOWLEDGE! Know your product and be able to at the very least be able to answer very basic questions about CBD. We have included a very thorough FAQ listing that will answer most questions. When you are asked a question that you don’t know you answer like this; I’m not sure but I will find out for you and get back to you as soon as I can.
Relax, you don’t have to know everything the first day. Chances are you will not be asked a tough question. Just be prepared to know what to say when one arises.
WHERE do I sell Sunset Hills CBD? Sell at a business you already own or start a business and sell to:
Family and friends, co-workers, local stores, chiropractors, massage therapists, spas, and at festivals, fairs, home and garden shows, farmers markets, senior communities, and veteran’s groups, meetups and many more.
WHEN you first start, go after the low hanging fruit. What I mean by that is the easiest people to talk to are people you already have a relationship with, so your friends and family will be first. ALWAYS ask them if they know other people that may need CBD for say anxiety, sleep, etc.
When you meet new people ALWAYS tell them what you do and leave them with at least a story about CBD and the remarkable things it does. For instance, we have a 17 year old cat that couldn’t get up from the litter box. We dusted him off and stood him back up TWICE and both times he fell over. We thought he was going to have to be put down. After giving him one dose of CBD 15 minutes later he walked across the room to take a drink of water. To say we were stunned is an understatement. He’s now 18 and once a week he feels good enough to run across the house, yelling as he goes to let us know he’s still with us.
The power of a story like that is unmeasurable about the way that people will now react to what you have to say. Make it REAL as there are millions of stories out there that are as good or better.
Share Your Story
Stories are powerful. People can relate to stories and they will remember them. Sharing your feelings in stories stirs up emotions in the people you are sharing with. People will connect with you because of your story.
Your story should be about 30 seconds long give or take. Memorize it and practice it so you can tell it without hesitation. There are 2 parts to your story:
- Share your pain. What you are suffering from. Are there some activities you are not able to do? How does that make you feel? Use feeling words and be vulnerable. This is the only part you can state negatives.
- Share what is better now that you use Sunset Hills CBD. How are you feeling now? How has it made your life better? What can you do now that you couldn’t do before? Be positive here. Instead of saying, “I’m not suffering from insomnia anymore”, say, “I get a good night’s sleep now”.
Sharing your story can significantly help change the lives of some of your friends and family. You are providing something of high value; it could be a good night’s sleep for the first time in years, it could be the ability to play with their grandkids again or walk their dog again, or the ability to focus on some productive tasks because they are free of pain and/or anxiety.
Share your story with EVERYONE! Don’t assume someone isn’t suffering because they haven’t told you about it. When you share your story they will relate and open up to you. If a friend had a solution to your problem and they didn’t share it, how would that make you feel? Sunset Hills CBD could be someone’s miracle they have been waiting for! Don’t rob them of it by keeping it to yourself!
Some of you may be tempted to sell your stock at cost or give it away to friends or family who need it. That is your choice, but let me share and example that shows why that is an absurd way to do business.
If your friend owned a vitamin shop, would you expect her to sell you vitamins at her cost, or to give them to you for free? She would not be in business very long if she did! And she would definitely not be able to pay the mortgage or feed her kids either! I’m sure you would be glad to support her business. And wouldn’t you rather support your friend’s business than say going to whole foods to buy the same vitamins and have some faceless corporation make money off of you?
I’m sure your friends or family have spent money on other products trying to solve their problem. Why wouldn’t they want to purchase something that works for them from a friend?
And think of what you can do with the extra money; you could take a vacation with your family, save for a down payment on a house or make upgrades in your current house, buy a new car, save for your kid’s college or maybe you’re retired and want to live a better life style. The possibilities are limitless!
FUNDRAISING
Give people the opportunity to purchase a product to improve their health and wellness or that of their pet while helping their favorite charity! Or maybe you are helping your own favorite charity.
Stick to local charities or shelters. Look for charity events that you can set up a table at. Let the event coordinator know that you want to raise money for the charity by donating, say 25% or more of your sales and ask if you can set up for free or for a discounted booth fee. You want to spend $20 – $50 max. If you pay anymore than that, you may end up in the negative. Set up your booth according to our shows and events guideline.
If you cannot find any events coming up soon, find charities that you know are in need of fundraising and find out who is in charge of fundraising or finances. Find them by searching on their website or walking in and asking. Tell them you want to raise money for them by giving 25% or more of your sales to their charity.
Pick a day to set up a table at their nearest location. All the charity or shelter has to do is inform their supporters and put the word out that you will be there and you will be donating 25% of your sales.
After the event is over, ask the shelter if you can send an email to their list of supporters giving them a final chance to contact you and order from you and help raise money for the charity. This gives people that could not come to the event the opportunity to buy from you and contribute to the fundraiser.
In either situation, you must collect the emails and contact info of every person that buys from you. This is essential to do because you want to follow up with them in a few weeks to see if they need replenish their supply. This is where the residual profits come in!
